A topic-based e-course is a program developed by Byron Katie, offering you the opportunity to connect with your own internal wisdom on a specific subject or topic.

In other words, the course allows you to explore: who or what would you be in this situation / on this topic without those stories that run in the forefront or the background? The aim of these topic-based e-courses is to experience connection and discover your own inner freedom.

Tammy refers to these as "event courses," as the learning experience is very different from that of a traditional classroom. The curricula provides insights and understanding that may otherwise remain undiscovered. All courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners of The Work®.

This course selection was designed by Tammy, drawing from Katie’s principles, and the ethics for facilitators.

Loving What Is®

Embracing Love in Relationship

(The course to take to be in love for a lifetime? ...Everything you wish you knew & what nobody dared to tell you - now you'll hear it for yourself & from yourself!)

Have you (past), are you (present), or do you want to (future):

  • Marry or live in partnership?

  • Live in love?

  • have children or raise a family?

There is a gap between the intention and the reality of relationships. According to recent statistics, 52% of couples separate or divorce within the first four years of partnership. This is neither an isolated event nor an exception, nor does it reflect a lack of effort by those involved.

So, what can one do to ensure lifelong love and happiness in relationship? This topic-based e-course takes us on a journey from conflict to clarity, from confusion to freedom, from guilt to grace.

Loving What Is®

Embracing Love in Relationship

“Marriage”/life partners as a cultural practice has existed in various forms for thousands of years and has evolved over time. Pinpointing its exact origins is difficult, as different cultures and societies have distinct traditions and rituals associated with marriage. In most societies, marriage is seen as a formal union between two individuals, often with legal, economic, and social implications.

The reasons people marry or come to form a partnership vary greatly, often influenced by cultural, social, legal, and personal factors. Some common reasons include:

  • Love and Emotion: Many people choose to marry/partnership out of love and the desire to build a shared future.

  • Legal and Financial Benefits: Marriage/Partnership can offer advantages like tax benefits, inheritance rights, health insurance, and social security.

  • Family Bonds: Marriage/Partnership can strengthen family ties and provide official status and clarity within society.

  • Raising Children: For couples with or planning for children, marriage/partnership is often seen as a stable foundation for parenting.

  • Religious or Cultural Reasons: In some traditions or religions, marriage/partnership holds profound spiritual or cultural significance as a sacred bond.

Ultimately, the reasons for marrying and forming partnerships are deeply personal and individual, differing greatly from person to person, place to place, and context to context.

While the decision to marry or be in a partnership can bring many positive aspects, couples often face potential challenges, such as:

  • Communication Gaps: Ineffective communication can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts.

  • Financial Struggles: Differing views and priorities on finances or income disparities can create tension.

  • Everyday Stress: Balancing work, household duties, parenting, and other responsibilities can put pressure on the relationship.

  • Differing Expectations: Misaligned ideas about roles, goals, or life plans can lead to disagreements and confusion.

  • Intimacy Issues: Challenges in sexual communication and navigating intimacy can create distance.

It is crucial for couples and parents to nurture their relationships to keep them strong and healthy, and work through things as they show up, rather than let them pile up. The intention is; that the stressors that develop can be received to strengthen the relationship, rather than pull at it. The question often arises: “How do I/we do that? And when do I/we begin?”

People enter marriage or partnerships with joy, dreams, and a vision: to be in love, to journey through life together, to strengthen one another, to face challenges hand in hand and be the “wind beneath each others wings”.

However, as statistics show, 52% of couples divorce or separate within the first four years.

This highlights the disconnect between reality and expectations, often causing significant emotional pain, financial strain, and hardships for individuals, couples, parents, and their children along the way.

So, how is it possible to embrace love in relationship, grow, shift, evolve, and stay-in-love together?

We go through countless exams before we get a job.

We attend driving school and pass tests before we drive a car.

But for marriage and parenting, there’s no school or qualification process.

Hhmmmm….?

So, can we receive the statistical invitation and actively empower ourselves as individuals or couples?

Topics individuals can receive to strengthen their marriage / partnership:

Meet your Host and Facilitator

Hi, I’m Tammy Ketura—a sociologist, course host, Certified Facilitator of "The Work of Byron Katie®," bestselling author, and mother. Guiding people through these internal transformative experiences has been my heartfelt mission since 2018.

Many clients, particularly those recovering from challenging marriages have said, “If only I experienced this earlier!!” Inspired by such AHA-moments, I’ve crafted this course to distill those life-changing insights into actionable tools that empower individuals and couples to navigate the journey of love and partnership with clarity, joy, and pleasure!

If you’re ready to support you in your powerful personal way, this course offers a supportive and insightful path forward.

In “The Work of Byron Katie®,” we identify and explore both conscious and unconscious thoughts, beliefs, and stories. These form the foundation of our emotions, actions, and life systems. Together, we dive into this exploration. Clients often share how deeply this work has influenced their lives.

This led me to ask an important question: can we bring clarity even at the stage of choosing a partner and perhaps avoid the challenges and pain that separation or divorce can bring? My personal attraction to “The Work” is rooted in its experience of freedom and connection.

I’m curious to see how you experience the course content. I look forward to meeting you and embarking on this inward journey together.
